Never short on ambition, GroupHub’s July event will be asking, “Can design save the world?” If design is about solving client problems, then Our Future Ltd is issuing some seriously challenging briefs - mammoth projects with daunting objectives and scary deadlines.

This event will assemble a panel of creative practitioners and academics to discuss how we can use our skills, our work and our businesses to offer up some answers. We’ll be talking about the environment, ethical trading, community cohesion and world peace. And we’ll be looking for answers a little more ambitious than switching off Macs, recycling paper and changing light bulbs.

We’d very much welcome your input on this event. Please submit comments on this post to suggest further speakers/themes/questions. Places at this event are free, but strictly limited so place ensure you register by emailing our events team here.

Wow! Looks a really excellent event….really wish I could be there.

I’ll have a think and see if I can whiz across a question or two beforehand.

If you’re wondering whether to go or not, I’d like to take this opportunity to say GO! The speakers are out there making a genuine difference and are engaged in exploring the true potential (and need) of creative intervention. Designing a genuine difference. Go, for me….

and have a great night everyone : )

    Design won't save the world...

Sent to me by one of our programmers this evening (seen on ffffound.com), after the event (which he had no knowledge of, as he’s been in Italy) but I found rather amusing and apt!
