Tim Burton Exhibition

Over Christmas, I was lucky enough to hop over to New York, and while over there I happened to stumble across the Tim Burton Exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). I’m a massive fan of Tim Burton, probably because he’s got such a weird imagination. But what I didn’t know was that he is the most amazing artist.

If you ever get to New York and see his exhibition you will not only see his most famous work like bits and pieces from Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissor Hands and so on, but you will see what I thought was the most exciting of his work, his character drawings. As you can see from the picture above, they are strange as hell, quirky, slightly dark and extremely funny. If you go to the exhibition website here and go to ‘works’ you can see more of these amazing drawings. By stepping into this exhibition you are basically stepping into Tim Burtons freakishly weird brain, and its fantastic!

Even though most of the spanish tourists ignored the signs and the constant shouting of security guards, no photographs were allowed to be taken in the exhibition. So the only picture I got… was of the entrance. Yea i wimped out, but you have to admit the entrance does look pretty good.
